School Council

A Belgrave Primary School, we believe every child should have the opportunity to contribute to school life and help shape positive change. Our School Council provides pupils with a meaningful platform to share ideas, represent their peers, and take an active role in improving our school community.

Representatives are elected from each year group and meet regularly to discuss issues that matter to pupils. Councillors collect ideas from their classes, share suggestions with school leaders, and work collaboratively to develop solutions and initiatives that benefit the whole school.

School Council Enrichment Opportunities

Through their involvement in the School Council, pupils have opportunities to:

  • Develop leadership and communication skills.

  • Represent the views of their classmates.

  • Participate in decision-making processes.

  • Contribute ideas for improving school life.

  • Support fundraising and charity events.

  • Help organise school-wide activities and celebrations.

  • Promote inclusion, wellbeing, and positive relationships.

The School Council helps children understand democracy, responsibility, teamwork, and citizenship through real-life experiences that empower them to make a difference.

Events and Initiatives
