Online Safety

We see the internet, digital and information technologies as a powerful tools, which open up new opportunities. Electronic communication helps teachers and students learn from each other. These technologies can stimulate discussion, promote creativity and stimulate awareness of context to promote effective learning.

Whilst we encourage the use of these technologies, we also recognise the need to actively teach and promote their safe use. Through our teaching they learn to evaluate online risks, recognise the dangers and feel confident to seek help when needed.  We maintain open, non-judgmental communication and set clear digital boundaries.

The links on this page provide resources for both parents and children to use to develop understanding of safe technology use.
