Sports Council
Our Sports Council gives pupils a real voice in promoting sport, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles across the school. Sports Council members are enthusiastic role models who help to encourage participation, organise events, support younger pupils, and share ideas to make sports and physical activity enjoyable for everyone.
Representatives are chosen from different year groups and meet regularly to discuss how we can improve opportunities for sport and active play. They help to gather pupil opinions, lead initiatives, assist with sporting events, and celebrate the achievements of their peers.
The Sports Council has played an important role in:
Encouraging active and inclusive playtimes.
Supporting Sports Day and inter-house competitions.
Promoting school sports clubs and events.
Gathering pupil voice about PE and sporting opportunities.
Being positive role models for teamwork, resilience, and fair play.

The Impact of the Sports Council
Through their role, Sports Councillors develop leadership, communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. They learn the importance of responsibility, listening to others, and working together to achieve positive outcomes for the whole school community.
As one Sports Councillor explained:
"We are the voice of sport in our school. We help everyone to be active, have fun, and try their best."
The Sports Council is a valued part of school life and helps to ensure that every child has opportunities to be active, healthy, and successful in sport.
