The Belgrave school community is committed to providing each and every pupil with a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment which celebrates their unique character and capabilities, allows them to be themselves and enables them to achieve to the best of their ability.

We nurture all individuals on their journey to becoming responsible local, national and global citizens. We understand that our pupils bring different experiences, interests and strengths which will influence the way they learn.

Class pages provide Curriculum Overviews for the academic year broken down into termly learning. This includes educational visits and visitors.

At Belgrave Primary School we acknowledge the great value of educational visits in broadening and enhancing both the learning and social experience of young people.

Children will be given the opportunity to go on a variety of school visits whilst they are pupils at Belgrave including optional overnight visits in Year 6.

Personal Development at Belgrave Primary School

Personal development runs through everything we do at Belgrave and is strongly linked to our school values.

We aim to teach children how to navigate through life safely, happily and healthily. Children are growing up in a world that is constantly changing and it is the duty of all the staff at school in partnership with parents teach the children life skills. We teach children about the world around them, relationships, emotions, reproduction and health. We consistently promote the British values and our school values.

How do we teach personal development?

As well as our PSHE education lessons and 'Myhappymind', we develop these important skills in a variety of ways including:

Cross curricular lessons, such as English, physical education and religious education.
