Lesson: Science

Class: Year 2 Year: 2016 - 2017

30.11.16

This afternoon Year 2 were trying to find out how they can make a piece of paper waterproof.

They took a piece of regular paper and looked at what happened when water was dropped on it.  They used the same amount of drops each time to make it a fair test.

They then experimented with different techniques trying to make their paper waterproof.

They used

  • plain paper
  • wax crayon
  • pencil crayon
  • oil pastel
  • felt tip
  • chalk
  • cellotape.
  •

Which technique do you think worked best? Why?

Which was the worst technique?
