E Safety

At Belgrave we know the Internet is a fantastic resource for learning, entertainment and communication. Just like in the real world, we need to take a few sensible precautions.

Each year, years 5 and 6 vote to elect 5 E Safety officers who they feel will support teaching the message of staying safe whilst online to the whole school.

Meet our E Safety leaders:

We celebrated Safer Internet Day on the 11th February 2020.

This years theme was together for a better internet, #freetobeme.  Safer Internet Day is celebrated in over a hundred countries across the world.

Our E-Safety leaders led an assembly introducing the theme and giving helpful reminders on how to stay safe online.  These are the important messages that we discussed in the assembly.

When we go online, we should make sure that everyone is:

We also want everyone to be:

Its ok to be

we are not all the same.

During this assembly the E-safety leaders also launched a competition #freetobeme.  What do we want the internet to be?  The children have been asked to create a poster about this years theme.

Throughout school posters are displayed to remind us all what we need to do if something happens we do not like when we are online to keep us all safe and feeling happy.
